Personal Prayer Time
“For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen” (Romans 11:36).
“If all are of Him, and through Him, all should be to Him, and for Him. Whatever begins, let God’s glory be the end: especially let us adore him when we talk of the Divine counsels and actings. The saints in heaven never dispute, but always praise. (Matthew Henry on Romans 11:36).
HE. Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your name! Your Kingdom come; Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I choose to praise You today despite my circumstances. I choose to look forward to a fruitful and successful New Year because You are in charge and You are love. May Your will be done and not mine in 2022. Please forgive me when I have made worship about me, when I have made living this life about pleasing myself or about ease and comfort. Often I want to understand what is going on rather than wait on You and trust You to work all things together for my good and Your glory.
“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” (Romans 11:33-34).
WE. Lord, I bring some needs and concerns before You today. I lay them at Your feet. Help me truly trust You with them and not worry or fret or compare ourselves to other ministries and people. Forgive me when I do that.
Help me discern what You have called NLW to do. Specifically, help me know what we must focus on in the next 6-12 months. And not worry about what we cannot do or accomplish. This is very hard for me but also very necessary.
Provide for our personnel needs please. Send us the right people to get the needed jobs done well and in a timely manner.
Specifically, I pray for ReFOCUS to be off the charts and way beyond what any of us could have imagined or taken credit for. Move on those who attend in a deeply spiritual way to revitalize and renew them. Bring us the groups and individuals You know need to be there. Help us pay for it.
Open doors for “big” names to endorse HE WE THEY. Only You can raise the dead. I am helpless to do that. Help us think smartly and creatively to help the momentum of launch.
THEY. Lord, I know we have neighbors on 4 sides of us whom we don’t know and who probably don’t know You. How can we reach them? Do we carry a pie to them and just talk to them on their front porch? Do we wait for a crisis to happen that we can see and know about? How do we engage them and befriend them in order to witness to them?
I pray for our staff and national teams. Please protect them and give them the resources they need to carry out their missions and calling where they are. Help us know better ways to encourage and train them.
