Our Out-West Vacation “Kairos Moment”
O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! (Psalm 8:9 NLT)
May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children. May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us… (Psalm 90:16-17)
Thank you Lord for an incredible time on our vacation out West this year. Here are some ways we saw Your handiwork and evidence of Your favor. What a supreme and memorable moment in time this has been for our family!
Protection from accidents or break-downs throughout the 5200 mile trip.
Beautiful weather and a waxing moon every day
Phenomenally colorful God-sculptured mountains, canyons, lakes, streams, valleys and geysers
Wonderful people you put in our path along the way–like Mike, who took such good care of us at Summit ATV in Bozeman, and Emma, the summer missionary worship leader who served us dinner at Mammoth Hot Springs.
Harmony and closeness of our family during the trip, as we laughed and talked together
Providing the finances for us to take this trip
Giving us a great corner lot at the KOA campground in West Yellowstone, close to the bathrooms and kitchen and with good shade trees
Keeping us safe in the thunderstorm and hail while riding 4-wheelers
Little surprises along the way like the great little outdoor restaurant in Cliff Dwellers, AR
For all these things and more, I am thankful and praise You, O Lord my God. Please help me never take for granted Your blessings and favor on my life and on my family. I am forever grateful for this awesome time of refreshing and renewal.
Now please help me return to Louisville ready to jump back in to the work You’ve called me to do, as we prepare for upcoming conferences and for starting the non-profit arm of our ministry.
