Inevitable Harvest
Text: Galatians 6:6-10
Theme: Sow what you want to reap
Key verses: “…You will always harvest what plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature…So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up” (v. 7-9).
What God said to me: Son, I always miss these special times with you when you don’t meet me here. When you journal you are more alert, more expectant, more focused, and more open to what I have to show you. You are in fact sowing at this moment what you will later reap. Think of every thing you do today–every action, every word, every plan, every interaction with others–as seeds you plant. Only plant wholesome seeds. Be sensitive to those particular seeds you are to water and nurture.
What I said to God: Thank You, Father, for speaking to me today. Thank You for loving me despite myself. I choose today to only plant good seeds. Lead me to whom you want me to influence and encourage.
