Accept

Text: Romans 14:1-4

Theme: Our job is not to condemn other believers; we are to accept them.

Key verses: “Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong” (v. 1). “Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them. Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive their approval” (v. 3-4).

What God said to me: Dwayne, good morning in Ethiopia! Are you feeling blessed? You should because you are. I have given you these opportunities to use your gifts and fulfill my calling in your life. Remember I told you I would use you to impact worship leaders and pastors in many nations. You are seeing that very thing come to pass. Stay humble; stay focused on me and faithful to me. Keep your vessel pure and clean, and I will continue to elevate your influence–not for your glory but for mine. Never forget that I have my people all over the world. I love them. I have accepted them in the Beloved. They are mine. So always be open and welcoming to various denominations and cultures you encounter. This is vital to the ministry I have called Next Level Worship to. Many will not think quite like you or look like you or value the same things you do. But if they value my Word and follow me, then find a way to work with them and embrace them.

What I said to God: Thank you, precious Father, for this wonderful morning as I sit here in the hotel in Addis Ababa. I would never have dreamed You would allow me to travel and meet so many amazing servants of the Most High. What a privilege! Please help me never to look down on people because of their skin color or economic status or cultural differences. You love them one and all. Please help me love them too. I pray that same prayer for my family and our for our NLW team. May we continue to keep our eyes on the prize of hearing You say, “Well done”!
